The Manifestation of Memory Series is the further investigation of memory and the individual organization and recall compared to another who shares the same event. I use some of the same conceptual elements that I discovered creating the Indiscriminate pieces. These pieces explore the concept of varied recall. It attempts to address people who share the same history, more specifically, people who share an identical event, who have such varied recalls.
The geometric elements attempt to portray linear moments that represent a given memory. The manipulation of the layers allows for similarities and disparities.
These pieces are encaustic panels layered with paper.
